Introducing

I have been trying to get Noah to say Eden's name. He pretty much just calls her 'Baby'. We have been practicing a lot the past few weeks. This morning I had a small measure of success. I asked him to say 'E'. He did. I asked him to say 'den'. He did. I asked him to say 'Eden', he said 'Deedee' and has been calling her that all morning.

Deedee it is.

Fabric Yumminess!

Yesterday for Garden Club:Home Edition us gals decided to take a little road trip to Sir's Fabric and the nearest Joann's.

These are the treasures I returned home with. I can't wait to see what this all turns into.

Brassy Apple Challenge

I have decided to join in on the challenges that Brassy Apple has set up. I missed the first two weeks but if you have time, scroll her blog and get some really great ideas.

This weeks challenge was to turn something from trash to treasure. That encompasses about all I own so I decided to show you some projects I have done in the past.

This is a beat up black shutter that I got for a few bucks at an antique mall several years ago. I turned it horizontal and attached some hooks to turn it into a coat rack/picture display.


These are signs I painted on wood that used to be somebody's fence.


These are old tin ceiling tiles that my sis, Dawn, gave me. She and my other sis, Misty, came up with this configuration. I attached a few pics with simple magnets and WHALLA!

Geek In Training

Chris decided Noah NEEDED a computer of his very own since he is obsessed with Daddy's computer and it gives Daddy a panic attack everytime Noah goes near it.
So...

Daddy installed lots of fun games and Noah is in HEAVEN!

I have a vision for this little corner if Daddy's office. I eventually want to make/get a cuter desk and chair and I envision a cork board and chalk board with some cute signs.

How Do You Know When Your Kid Is Feeling Better?

He begins to pester his little sister.

He was enjoying himself immensely.
Sister's enjoyment?
Not so much.

Good Idea Gone Bad

A few weeks ago I picked up a little wipe board for $1 at Wal-Mart thinking that Noah would love to color with it.

I put him up in his highchair and let him go to town.
He did so great.
So, I decided to fold a little laundry while he was occupied.
I left the room to get the laundry and this is what I came back to.

He was so happy with himself.
Dork.
Luckily the marker cleaned up easily, although it does stain clothes.
