Madison Street Festival

The fam and I went to the MSF today and really had a blast. We had never gone before so didn't know what to expect. We started out at the children's tent. There was table after table of crafts for the kids to do. They decorated silly hats, painted pictures, made bracelets, got tattoos, got their faces painted and their hair sprayed silly colors, got about a million stickers and lollipops, and had huge smiles on their faces the whole time.

After the children's tent we walked around to see what all the booths had to offer. A lot were churches, politicians, and businesses just advertising. But, most were handing out something so we collected some balloons and popsicles.

But, by far, the best part of the afternoon was the pony ride. We had to wait in line a bit. The natives were gettin a little restless by the time it was our turn.

(Notice Noah's green mohawk and Eden's pink polka dot hair.)

Even though it was a short ride, it was worth the wait to see the expressions on their faces.

We all had so much fun. We will definitely be going back next year.

Oh, and by the way, every last thing we did today was FREE!

The Cutting Room Floor

I have been contemplating chopping Eden's hair for quite a while. She, unfortunately, inherited my thin, ever-so-slightly wavy hair instead of getting her dad's beautifully thick and curly hair.

A few days ago I saw a little girl about Eden's age and she had the cutest little bob of a cut. The next day I was snuggling with the kiddos and noticed that her hair was just getting on her nerves. That minute I decided to chop it. I called and made an appointment for that very day at Spoiled Rockin Kids.

Eden was amazing. The hairstylist was shocked at how well she did at her age. Not a tear was shed.

Here is her before:

This is a during pic. To get Eden to look down during the cut her Aunt Mimi bribed her with her cellphone.

Are you ready for the AFTER? Prepare yourself for some serious cuteness overload!

I know, right?! It is a bit shorter than I was envisioning, especially the bangs. I think I'll REALLY love it in a few weeks but it is adorable now, especially with a headband.

Love, love, love!!!!
